POSTPUNK: un fanzine que fluye como la Río Mapocho

Este fanzine surge como un gesto postpunk: urgente, fragmentario y hecho a mano. En su interior fluye un poema que forma parte del libro inédito Tierra de Fuego, un poemario de Elizabeth Cárdenas, donde lo natural y lo político se entrelazan como raíces entre baldosas rotas.
POSTPUNK es un fanzine plegado en una sola hoja tamaño carta. La imagen que lo abre es un stencil original, creado especialmente para esta edición, que dialoga con la materialidad del papel fotocopiado, intervenido con negro crudo. El reverso lleva el logo de Cartonia, el nuevo proyecto editorial que hereda el espíritu de La Joyita Cartonera.
El poema —una invocación a la Río Mapocho como cuerpo vivo y femenino, mestizo y desviado— recorre la ciudad desde su cauce, desbordando márgenes, marchas, costaneras y túneles. La voz poética la humaniza: le atribuye humor, toxicidad, deseo, brillo, ira y poder de transformación. La Río no es solo paisaje urbano, es también sujeto colectivo, político y mítico. Es espejo, matriz y grito.
POSTPUNK no pretende ser un libro terminado, sino una pieza móvil: una hoja que circula, que se dobla, que se reparte. Una publicación que se instala en la tradición cartonera, pero que avanza hacia nuevas formas de publicación independientes.

This fanzine is a postpunk gesture: urgent, fragmentary, handmade. It holds a poem from the unpublished book Tierra de Fuego (by Elizabeth Cárdenas), a collection where the natural and the political intertwine like roots breaking through cracked pavement.
POSTPUNK is a folded one-sheet zine, printed in photocopy aesthetic. The front features an original stencil, designed especially for this piece, while the back carries the logo of Cartonia, the new editorial project that continues the legacy of La Joyita Cartonera.
The poem—a fierce invocation to the Río Mapocho as a living, feminine, mestiza, queer body—cuts through the city and its contradictions. The river is depicted not as urban scenery, but as a speaking being: she laughs, she poisons, she desires, she resists. She’s myth and mud. Glitter and rage.
POSTPUNK isn’t meant to be a finished book, but a mobile piece: a folded sheet to be passed hand to hand. A publication rooted in the cartonera tradition, reaching toward new independent forms.
